Experience

The community of Bahia Honda is located on Bastimentos Island, Archipelago of Bocas del Toro. The activity takes place with a local guide. You can discover the beautiful nature and fauna of the area, on a short walk that leads to the cave of the Bats. In this activity you can swim in the natural pool inside the cave. It is planned to eat an autochthonous dish of the Gnabe Buglé culture, followed by a workshop of interaction with the community. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn how locals weave their chácaras (handcrafted bags) and/or how coconut bread is prepared. The workshop to prepare the artisanal coconut bread (jorney cake), is an activity that must be planned in advance and is carried out when the group is more than 10 people. It lasts about 3 hours.
